- The Club is registered under the name Lamakaan Amateur Radio Club (LARC) and is popularly known by its acronym LARC.
- LARC is a science club registered as a society towards the promotion of science and is particularly involved in the dissemination of Radio sciences (Amateur Radio).
- Membership of this club is through Subscription.
- Subscription to this club is valid for 1 year from the time of previous renewal.
- Subscription to the club is Rs 500 per annum and can be increased when the need arises.
- Subscriptions are neither transferable nor refundable and cannot be inherited either.
- Subscriptions are allowed only for 1 year and must be renewed every year.
- Subscription ceases if the member does not renew the membership every year. Subscription also ceases in the unfortunate event of the member passing away.
- If the subscription of a member lapses the member can renew the same after paying the membership dues for the period the membership was not renewed.
- The club reserves the right to terminate the membership if the member is found to behave in a manner not complying with the spirit of the club and its purpose. Membership gets annulled if a member violates club rules or engages in misconduct.
- The club is run by a board drawn from its members and is purely voluntary.
- One can become a board member of his own volition provided he is nominated or recommend by other members and is purely voluntary.
- Board membership is for a period of 2 years and comes with no strings attached.
- Neither the board member nor an ordinary member will receive any remuneration as this is a club based purely on voluntary service. LARC is a non-profit organisation and does not involve any monetary benefits to anyone.
- The subscription charges are used only for the running of this science club
- The money collected as subscription charges is used towards the day-to-day functioning of the radio club
- Every member has a valid callsign affixed to his name and any member without a call sign will be assigned the call sign ‘SWL’
- Change in callsign of the member at any time will not affect the subscription provided the upgraded call sign belongs to the same person.
- LARC conducts a yearly convention/event called ‘The Lamakaan Annual Radio Convention’ also with the acronym LARC on the 2nd Saturday and Sunday of December every year. However, this Acronym will have a number attached to it like LARC-8 for example. This changes incrementally every year.
- Apart from this yearly convention, LARC also conducts number of workshops, demos throughout the year.
- A non-refundable fee for each event/convention/workshop will be collected and the amount collected will be decided on the estimate for the expenses involved and will be collected as an entry fee/workshop fee for each event separately.
- The amount collected during these conventions/workshops/demos will be utilised towards expenses for conducting the same.
- The payment made towards LARC convention, Workshops or Demos is non-transferable and non-refundable by any means.
